What's Happening? Edit

TV Series Edit

Lionsgate broke the news that they were planning a TV series on Tuesday 8th December 2015 during a press briefing; they didn't give much away but did say that Stephanie Meyer will act as executive producer and that the series has a new female protagonist with “extraordinary powers”. Lionsgate has a well-established relationship with Meyer, they also produce the Twilight films which are based on Meyer's series of novels. Starz announced that they've ordered straight to series in July 2017[1], no pilot, and are pleased with their new property, The show should air in 2018[2]

There are two books in the series by Daniel O’Malley at the moment, with no details about what to expect next.

  • The Rook, is in London where a young woman, Myfanwy Thomas, awakens in the rain with no memory, surrounded by dead bodies, and with a letter from herself in her pocket. She discovers that she is an agent in a secret organization, the Checquy, that protects Great Britain from supernatural threats.
  • Stiletto: Myfanwy returns, to clinch an alliance between deadly rivals and prevent supernatural war. Myfanwy Thomas has to forge an agreement between the Checquy and the Grafters. We learn much more about the Checquy.
